BTCEB Public Meeting, January 6 2021
We had our first public meeting of 2021 in January, showcasing all that we've accomplished in 2020 along with laying out our ideas for 2021. Click on the image above to see the presentation, including the videos shown during the event.
John Roberts: Concerns expressed on NextDoor, elsewhere about mountain biking problems (too much traffic).
Mike Kovaleski: Oakland Bike Patrol is an important program. Show the greater community that we’re mountain bikers trying to solve the problem.
Mike Udkow: I am on Oakland Bike Patrol and Friends of Joaquin Miller Park. FOJMP is getting contentious. Lots of traffic, illegal trail building. Might want to have Nat from Hilride help with the trails, or help with training us on trail maintenance. Tom G: COVID is a real problem. And there are some projects which are good fits for volunteers, and some which aren’t (like rebuilding Cinderella). Constraint isn’t really about knowing how to do it.
Heath Bigman: What can we do to help out with trail project at Lime Ridge? Scott B: Contract is not yet signed, they will keep us posted.
We are in the process of revising our web site, and the new site will include the minutes of all board meetings. The presentation will be fully summarized in our 2020 Annual Report, due out in March.
